Wax Batik
Dye Recipe: 8 Cups hot water, 2 Cups
salt water (made from 2 cups of salt dissolved in 8 cups of hot water), 1+ TBLS
dye
Hot batik wax is also needed.
Procedure: make a wax design on desired
area. This will preserve the white color. Agitate in first dye bath. Let it dry
(you can speed the process with a blow-dryer). Paint on next layer of wax. This
will preserve the color you just dyed it and the rest will change in the next
bath. Repeat as many times as desired. Iron when you are done.
